Why We Exist
Our one desire is to know God more. We believe that destinies are birthed from a place of intimacy with God and connection to family. Our goal is to raise up an army of Jesus lovers who are devoted to one another, compelled to worship God in all circumstances, and who courageously follow the leading of the Holy Spirit regardless of the cost.
We have a 100-year vision for worship to be released in the context of family at Destiny House Redding and for 5,000 other worshiping communities to be launched around the world.
Influenced by Silver to Gold and modeled after Carrie Judd Montgomery’s healing home, Home of Peace, we believe Destiny House will be a significant place where God's presence is cultivated and where missionaries, leaders, and women revivalists will be healed, restored, empowered to thrive in the John 10:10 promise, and launched into a greater measure of their destinies.
The word “Destiny” comes from the Latin word “destinare” which means “to make firm, establish.” Destination comes from this word as does Destine which means “to intend or choose someone for a particular purpose or end.” While our truest destiny lies in knowing Jesus, there is something significant about becoming all who we are created to become and also reaching the destinations and fulfilling the purposes God has already set before us (Ephesians 2:10).
Too many Christians have yet to reach their destinations and their God-given destinies because the enemy has sought to kill, steal, and destroy them; they have been sidelined before they could reach their fullest destinies. But Jesus came that they might have life and that more abundantly, that they might know Him intimately and also fulfill all His greatest purposes for their lives (John 10:10). This is what we contend for.
We are believing for Destiny House Redding to inspire 5,000 worshiping communities around the world to commit to regular times of worship and cultivating God’s presence together in the intimate space of the home. Will you join us in this revolution by committing to worship regularly within the context of family, seeking to give Him glory, honor, and praise as your only agenda?
Living out of His presence and being knit together with family are the only ways to truly step into the fullness of our God given destinies and to release it to others. Without Jesus we are nothing. Without each other we can only go so far. This is family. This is kingdom. This is Destiny House.
